Georgian authorities have leveled charges against the photojournalists
arrested on July 7 in Tbilisi. They are accused of working for an
unnamed foreign intelligence service against the interests of Georgia.
The detained include presidential photographer Irakli Gedenidze, Zurab
Kurtsikidze of the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) and Georgian
foreign ministry photographer Georgy Abdaladze. Gedenidze's wife Natia
was also arrested. Associated Press photographer Shakh Aivazov was
released after several hours without being charged
